Five Steps to Help You Make Your Dreams Come True

Most of us have had dreams at some time in our lives, only some of us make those dreams happen! “One day I’m going to…”, is a saying I am sure you have heard and said, many times!

Why do our dreams stay as dreams?
If we start why don’t we follow our dreams through?
What stops us from going after the one thing that we really want?

When I listen to my clients, I will often hear them say, “I can’t because of the children”, or “I can’t because I don’t have the money” or “I can’t because I don’t have much free time”.

It’s fair to say that for most people … life just gets in the way.

However, life does not have to get in the way. All you need is a little know-how, a clear goal, focus, determination and then you can start living your dreams!

Step One : Take a Step Back

This is a very important step. Take some time to clarify exactly what your dream is all about?

You want to make sure your dream will bring you the reward you thought it would bring and more.
Simplify it; become very clear and assertive about what it is and how you will feel about the benefits!

How is your life going to change with the fulfilment of this dream?

Step Two : What’s Stopping You?

What is preventing you from pursuing your dream?

What is happening right now in your life that stops you?

What are you willing to do, so that you can achieve your dream?

Can you see yourself learning a new skill? Is there someone you can talk to about obtaining more knowledge? Do you feel you will be able to manifest your dream with these new skills.

Step 3 : Place your Dream

Give your dream a place in your future. A dream without a date is just a dream. To achieve your dream, you need to connect to it, put it on your calendar and put in your future. Take charge, avoid the struggle and make it happen, instead of saying “one day I’m going to…”

List what you want to achieve and the steps you need to take to accomplish that. You will be amazed how much easier the whole goal is, when you break it down into bite sized pieces. Your ‘huge pie in the sky’ dream becomes easily obtainable

Step Four : Balance Your Life to Support Your Dream

Balancing is all about managing the different parts of your life in a manner that suits you. The amount for each part will differ according to your dream and your life’s needs.

If you dream is to climb Everest, then your fitness is going to be high on the agenda, therefore it is likely to require more time and effort on your health and fitness. If your dream is to take your children to Disneyland, then your focus would be foremost on your finance and your family.

Step Five : Get MAD

Your dream will only materialise when you take the initiative and get MAD!

Motivation – become unstoppable,

Action – take charge,

Determination – develop unlimited perseverance.
